180: Deadshot

Floyd Lawton was born to wealthy parents who hated each other. While still a child he tried to intervene in a confrontation between his beloved older brother and hated father with a sniper rifle. His shot went astray and he killed his brother. From that point on he dedicated his life to being certain he would never miss a shot again and became Deadshot.

179: Jean Grey / Marvel Girl / Phoenix

Jean Grey began her career with the X-Men as a simple telekinetic known as Marvel Girl. After a trip through space with the Fantastic Four she was found by a cosmic entity known as the Phoenix Force, at it became bound to her. Much like the mythological Phoenix, she would die and rise from the ashes more powerful than one could ever imagine.

Responsible for Bruce Banner becoming the Hulk due to an idiotic teenage dare, Rick Jones would go on to become Marvel's penultimate sidekick. In addition to Rick's on again, off again relationship with the Hulk, he has been at the side of Captain America, Captain Marvel and Rom the SpaceKnight. He also found time to start a band, host a TV talk show, write a book and become a computer hacktivist. Listen to this episode to learn all about this man of many talents.

Basil Karlo was an actor who had grown to old for his most famous role. When he was replaced he was driven mad and became a masked killer. Later, he would be granted shapeshifting abilities and a monstrous form. Known as Clayface, he would terrorize Gotham and became one of Batman's toughest foes. Recently, Batman has begun trying to reform the malleable man into a hero. Will he succeed as a hero, or be forever doomed to stalk Gotham's streets as a villain? Only time will tell.

When Peter Parker died in the Ultimate Universe, a young person of color was there to continue his legacy. Miles Morales would initially be a polarizing character in comics, but with his new take on the mantle, as well as his well written stories he has become embraced by many fans. Following the events of Secret Wars, he now exists in the main Marvel continuity alongside his inspiration, Peter Parker.

Born on Apokolips as Prince Uxas, the young man usurped those in line ahead of him to claim the throne. Being ruler wasn't enough so he stole the powers of the Old Gods to become the New God Darkseid. Locked in an eternal war with his brother Highfather of New Genesis, and prophesied to die at the hand of his son Orion, Darkseid became a threat to all who value free will while in his quest to obtain the Anti-Life Equation.

171: Red Robin / Tim Drake

Tim Drake was the third person to serve as Batman's sidekick Robin. Though he carried on a rich comic book tradition, he redefined Robin's role. He served as a detective, Computer hacker, and overall more intellectual Robin. Tim Drake is a character that always emphasizes smarts over guts. As he felt he became his own hero, he added Red to Robin to create a moniker that was all his own.
