136: Jenny Sparks with Rachel Pandich

This weeks Rachel Joins Bruce to talk about the "Spirit of the twentieth century" Jenny Sparks.

Sparks was born at the stroke of midnight on New Years Day 1900, and died at the same time in the year 2000. Along the way she was part of Stormwatch and The Authority. Created by Warren Ellis for Jim Lee's Wildstorm Comics (now part of DC), Jenny only appeared in comics for 3 years, but has left an impression for the ages.

135: Iron Man with Bruce

This week Bruce tackles one of Marvel's mainstays, Iron Man. As a prisoner of war, Tony Stark found the inspiration that would lead him to be a high tech hero. After developing his armor, he became a founder of Marvel Comcs Avengers, and went on to fight villains along with his inner demons. Extra attention is given to "Demon in a Bottle", "Extremis" and "Civil War" that served as the framework for the many Marvel Studios movies starring Robert Downey, Jr.

Thompson, and never hesitated to be a part of his own story. Fearlessly dedicated to bring the people the "absolute truth" his columns were part of his own mission to bring down malevolent powers that abused the citizenry for their own amusement. The central character of Transmetropolitan.
